Designing for the futures. Organizations in this highly uncertain environment need to have the foresight to strategically plan, tweak, embed, alter, or combine their current and future offerings. In my class "Designing strategies for new economies' I used Speculative Design to visualize the future and then work backward on how to be prepared for this future / how to seize the opportunity.

Assessment of preferable future
1. If this could be a future, do we want it, if yes what can we do today to create this future, if not then what steps should we take now to avoid it?
2. Asking 'What if this becomes a reality? Will this be good for society? or larger community?

If yes, it is a preferable future.

How might we design for this preferable future?
Truly, forward-thinking organizations are prepared for it and consider possible futures. It is healthier to anticipate what could the effects be on the environment and society in the future, rather than devising a crisis management plan after we see the future in the present. Here I have shared how used this process to deduce the future. I may be right or wrong, but that's, not the point!
